LOGIK & ANALYSE

Rohstoff Herkunft Schaden
Erdöl Naher Osten, Tiefsee Meeresbewohner, Kriege.
Palmöl Indonesien Regenwald-Abbrand.
Kobalt DR Kongo Waldrodung für Minen.
Lithium Südamerika Wasserraub in Ökosystemen.

Mein Ziel: Die Kette verstehen

LOGIC & ANALYSIS

INTELLECTUAL DISCOURSES ON CURRENT TOPICS WITHOUT REFERENCE TO NATURE BEINGS.

Why my consumption leaves a mark elsewhere

When I look at environmental protection logically, I set spirituality aside. Instead, I look at the supply chain. Every product I buy was once a raw material in nature. To obtain this raw material, nature is altered or destroyed in another location.

1. The example of plastic and oil

Plastic feels clean and convenient. But logically, plastic only exists because crude oil is pumped from the earth.

  • The consequence: Oil is the world’s most important raw material for energy and chemicals. Because everyone wants it, it leads to wars and political conflicts.
  • The damage: When I use plastic, I am part of a system that relies on oil rigs and pipelines. These often destroy the ocean or sensitive landscapes.

2. Raw materials and their victims

To make a logical decision, I must know: Who pays the price for my product?

Raw Material Origin Damage
Crude Oil Middle East, Deep Sea Marine life, wars.
Palm Oil Indonesia Rainforest burning.
Cobalt DR Kongo Deforestation for mines.
Lithium South America Water theft in ecosystems.

My goal: Understanding the chain

Instead of saying „I love nature,“ I say: „I want to understand the impact I have.“

  • Logic over emotion: I don’t just see the object, but the trail it has left behind.
  • Concrete questions: Which animal lost its forest? Which country is being destroyed?

This perspective turns environmental protection into a mathematical problem. If I know that Plastic = Oil = War, I make a logical decision against it.
